This Morning, Your House

This morning your house hugs me tight -
 the purring fridge
 the drying laundry
your smells lingers on my fingers
today your four walls hold me
This morning your house hugs me tight
Fried eggs and hot chocolate on a bar chair
the yolk spreads, reaches for my skin
 I lick it absently
This morning your house hugs me tight
I dance in your kitchen I wash the dishes I sing softly
I cover my eyes in search of moonlight
I duel to death with your bookshelves - have at thee !
This morning your house hugs me tight
I’m alone and I can rest
 bodymind wrapped in your pajamas
 and a million panoramas
 extras
And when I lean from your sofa,
 I wander a fairytale-like forest.
This morning your house hugs me tight
My eyes devour it all, toddler-like - candles, makeup, avocado leaf
My mind fully engulfed in your light
 I laugh, I heave
 a dizzy sigh of relief
 This morning your house
 hugs me tight -
 the purring fridge
 the drying laundry
your smells lingers on my fingers
Your keys jingle in the door,
Your teeth through your smile -
 You came back
 home
 to me.
